チャールズ皇太子はわずか3歳にして王位継承順位1位のポジションに。女王の長男であるチャールズ皇太子のそのポジションは今も変わらず、英王室の最年長（男性）王位継承者としての記録を更新中である。

チャールズ皇太子・カミラ夫人の公式SNS「クラレンス・ハウス」には、たくさんの祝福メッセージに対する感謝の言葉が綴られるとともに、スコットランドのバークホール邸にて最近撮影された皇太子のダンディーなキルト姿が公開された。美しい紅葉をバックにしたこちらの写真には、現在7万件もの「いいね！」が寄せられている。

ちなみに誕生日当日は、ドイツ「国民哀悼の日」（Volkstrauertag、11月第3日曜日）に執り行われる戦没者や暴力支配犠牲者の追悼式典に出席するため、カミラ夫人とともにベルリンへと旅立ったチャールズ皇太子。15日はノイエ・ヴァッヘ国立中央戦没者追悼所やドイツ連邦議会を訪れ、献花を行う予定という。
